POST WWII US Army Legion Of Merit Medal Cased Set.
Very Interesting little grouping, this grouping was acquired from a fellow collector a few years back. He had acquired directly from the veterans family not long prior but had not been able to source the name or any other material from the estate. He had some information but I can’t seem to find where I saved or recorded it. The only part I remember was that the grouping had belonged to a navy commander who served during WW2 and possibly the Korean War. Past that I can’t recall anything. I think he might have retired as a captain but can’t confirm this! Keep that in mind when considering the price! Please check out my other militaria and collectible offerings!
Original WWII era slot brooch LOM, not named and not numbered. Some damage to the white enamel on a few parts. The piece is vintage and therefore may show signs of age, wear, or patina. Up for sale is this US Armed Forces Legion of Merit Medal. The medal comes in the box with ribbon bar and a lapel device. The medal is named to Frederick C. I was told he was a Viet Nam veteran. Condition is as found on local estate sale. Some results of my research shows that Col. Frederick “Fritz” Hastings Jr. Passed away in San Benito, TX in 2005 at the age of 73.
