This is an exceptional WW1 War Service medal award by the Sons of the American Revolution to a member who served in World War One. This medal is script engraved to John Seward. While a fairly common name i came upon roughly 6-10 John Sewards who served in the US during WW1. The Sons of the American Revolution does habe records and i believe it would be highly like that if you access those you can find out exactly which John Seward it was awarded too.. The Sons of the American Revolution is a society were all members can trace their legacy back to having direct relatives who fought in the revolutionary war/ war of independence. I suspect the resesearch could yield some very interesting history on the Seward family.. This sons of the american revolution ww1 service medal are fairly uncommon and named ones are much more desirable… Medal or all types from this society are highly collected. This is for the medal planchet only no ribbon was present with the medal! Planchet is near mint with a stunning bronze patina! Thanks for looking check out all my ww1 and military collectibles!
The product is a lot of five WW2 American Defense Campaign Asiatic Pacific Fleet Medals made of bronze. These original period items were likely produced in the United States during World War II (1939-45) and are associated with the Navy/militaria theme. The medals feature a bronze eagle design, indicating their connection to American military campaigns in the Asiatic Pacific region during the war.

This is a hobby not a living, so I try to keep it fun, otherwise why do it. This badge was introduced in 1903 and discontinued in 1909. The initial order of 1700 badges was produced by the Rock Island Arsenal which also impressed them with the company numbers. _gsrx_vers_632 GS 6.9.8 (632).
Excellent condition as shown. Makers marked by Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. Hallmarked “GF” for “Gold Filled”. Very hard to find medal in any condition from this early era, which I feel is the 1910′s to the 1930′s based on the makers mark. It has the original medal drape, but is missing the pin assembly. These WWI to WWII pin assembly’s are readily available, and would just need to be sewn into the ribbon after folding the two top portions together. We listed this in the condition it was received and don’t clean of “fix” our items to preserve their originality. Please see our other listings, and check back often as we typically list 30-50 high-end estate items each week with No Reserve!
ORIGINAL WWII WW2 U. AMERICAN MILITARY PILOT’S “POW” WINGS – CAMP MADE. Gorgeous camp made pilot’s wings with “POW” over the federal shield. Made from lead which was found on discarded Red Cross food cans, or seals of crates and boxes. This pair of wings has large lugs on back that are holed out to allow for a large safety pin to be inserted for wear. Nice original wing from my father’s estate collection. Check out my other items!
