Breaking up a big collection that took many years to find. WW1 bronze death plaque in memory of. 41771 Pte Richard Alexander Clark 8th (Service) Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment was. KILLED IN ACTION on 27 May 1918. Richard was born at Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, on 25 Jan 1899 to Annie Clark. He first enlisted in the 2/1st Yorkshire Hussars on 11 Nov 1916. His address was 13 Goxhill Street, Baslingthorpe Lane, Leeds. And he was a’leather worker’. He was later given a compulsory transfer to the 8th Leicestershire Regiment.
