CHECK MY FEEDBACK, I DON’T PLAY THOSE GAMES. OK, SO THIS WHOLE LOT CAME FROM ONE ESTATE….. THE DAGGER IS 100% UNTOUCHED AS FAR AS CLEANING OR RESTORATION, WHILE LOOKING AROUND GOOGLE ALMOST EVERYONE LOOKS LIKE IT WAS POLISHED TO DEATH TO MAKE LOOK PRETTY…… THIS ONE SHOWS ITS NATURAL AGE, I WILL LEAVE CLEANING TO THE NEW OWNER IF THEY CHOOSE TOO DO THAT….. THE MAKE NAME ON THE DAGGER IS : GEBRUDER HELLER SCHMALKALDEN… HAS A ANCHOR SYMBOL AS WELL. THE LEATHER TAB HAS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A PERSONS NAME…… THE SCABBARD SHOWS BLACK PAINT LOSS, MOSTLY ON THE ONE SIDE….. I DID NOT UNDO THE LEATHER STRAP , I SEE GREENISH/TARNISH OR WHATEVER THAT MAY BE….. AGAIN , I DID NOT CLEAN. THE SHADOW BOX LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE UP IN RECENT YEARS…. PICS LOOKS SHRUNKEN , LIKELY FROM ORIGINALS….. THE PATCHES AND MEDAL ARE AUTHENTIC WW2….. THE DOG TAG IS ORIGINAL AND MATCHES THE NAME ON THE OLD 1945 PAPERWORK….. THERE ARE SOME RIBBONS/MEDALS TOO…. AT SOME POINT IN 1964 , LIKELY THE VET SAVED A ARTICLE ABOUT THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE AND HAND WROTE ” HOW ABOUT THIS SOME 20 YEARS LATER ” THE NEWSPAPER IS DATED DECEMBER 10, 1964…. AND IT IS THE KENOSHA NEWS…. ASSUMING IT HAD TO DO WITH HIS SERVICE. PLEASE STUDY/BLOW UP ON ALL THE PHOTOS…… HAPPY TO SEND MORE PHOTOS IF NEEDED AS I CAN ONLY POST 12 HERE. RARE Original WW2 84th Infantry Division Medal, Dog Tags, Books – Named Soldier. This is a grouping of items found at an estate. “Al” Warne was a member of the US Army 84th Infantry Division that was key in liberating Germany from the Nazi party in WW2. The 84th liberated several death camps along the way. Included in this grouping are: 1 VERY Rare original US Army book (with photos) on the liberation of Dachau, 2 Rare book set in hard cardboard holder with “The Battle of Germany” – Viking Press 1945. Included in the set is a complete roster of the 84th Infantry, 3 The dog tags of US Army soldier Al Warne, 4 Al Warne’s Bronze Star in original case. No engraving on the back, 5 3 “Railsplitter” 84th Infantry Division Patches, and, 6 Al Warne’s membership card in the 84th Infantry Division’s Railspiltter Society. I would like to keep this grouping together as it tells the story of a proud US soldier and his horrific experience in WW2 Germany. The books show signs of wear. Please inspect the pictures. He was born in 1907 and joined the Finnish airforce in 1928 at 21 advancing from Sergeant to Lieutenant. He flew training and mainly reconaissance operations in many aircraft most often in the Blackburn Ripon but also in the VL Sääski and VL Tuisku and often flying at night. The Photo shows one plane Tulosmaa actually flew: RI-137. In 1938 he started to fly the Fokker C. V and the Aero -A. 32 again for recon missions. During the continuation war he held the vital post of air traffic controller.
