Here is a highly scarce. World War I US Army Dog Tag Lot for a Field Artillery Battalion. The 301st FA was attached to the 79th Division that earned its name, The Cross of Lorraine Division, in France. Part of the 154th Field Artillery Brigade, the 301st may have been in reserve for the final battle of the War. Most of the lot is 101 years old except for the 1904 Bible and is in overall fair to good condition. WWI US Army Identified Groupings. WWI Dog Tag Lot , 301st Field Artillery Battalion , 79th Division. Legibly stamped pair of Identity Tags on original string necklace. Highly scarce, detailed, Sterling Identification Bracelet etched with a Masonic Symbol. Note for lack of space “the error” engraved on the back of the bracelet; “American Express Force”. 1918 US Army Pocket Calendar – Small Diary includes logs to be filled, insignia charts, with a couple entries, stamped US. 1904 New Testament with inscription, carried in France. World War I Victory Medal with France Bar. Information legible, colors relatively vibrant, string necklace intact. Everything except the Medal was carried/worn/used in France; all very nicely preserved. Potential for Provenance; Raymond C Phelps, 3193076. Domestic buyers offered Discounted, Expedited Service, small box, tracking. Thank You for visiting! These are his only entries through the small book has sections to track guard duty and passes, letters written and received, contacts, etc. There are also neat insignia charts enclosed. The etched sterling Masonic Bracelet with the (I believe) calculated, perhaps tongue in cheek engraving “American Express Force” really is the kicker for this particular lot. EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION with most of the original finish present. 1903 Coast Artillery 1st Class Gunner badge. Stamped on the reverse of the clasp to 87 CO COAST ARTILLERY / No 14. (This company was assigned to Fort Slocumb, New York at this time). Measures approximately 1 9/16 across at the suspension. There are some knocks and dark areas across the top of the suspension bar and a lot of scratching to the silver emblem. Some scuffs to the high points and tarnish at that point. Otherwise excellent minus condition. This is a hobby not a living, so I try to keep it fun, otherwise why do it. This badge was introduced in 1903 and discontinued in 1909. The initial order of 1700 badges was produced by the Rock Island Arsenal which also impressed them with the company numbers. _gsrx_vers_632 GS 6.9.8 (632).
