Original Soviet Russian WW2 Stalingrad Documented award Group for Guards Junior lieutenant Saveliy Yakovlevich Vozniy. Initially a 120mm mortar squad commander, ended the war as a mortar platoon commander. Nice combat group with paperwork. What you see in the photos is what you will get. Superb Royal Navy group to an officer, completely unresearched. Lieutenant C W M Bragg varied selection including his commission as a Sub Lieutenant dated Aug 1941. Large book Gunnery Notes. Good selection of various photographs of him and various ships. Certificates, documents and service record also included. Everything you see is included, nothing more, nothing less. Original Soviet medal + original award document. Issued to Red army soldier – Sliva Moises Petrovich on July 30th, 1943. He served in 111th regiment of the defense of Southern Front headquarters. The award document signed by captain Soviet army. The Medal “For the Defense of Stalingrad” was awarded to all participants in the defense of Stalingrad – soldiers of the Red Army, Navy and troops of the NKVD, as well as persons from the civilian population who took part in the defense of Stalingrad during its siege by German forces. Award of the medal was made on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the basis of documents attesting to actual participation in the defense of Stalingrad issued by the unit commander, the chief of the military medical establishment or by a relevant provincial or municipal authority. Awarded – Sergeant Podlesov Mikhail Alexandrovich – assistant platoon commander of the 1236th Infantry Regiment of the Red Army. A fantastic group of original items, formerly the property of US Marine Corps Captain Thomas Howard Bruce, for service during WW II, The Korean War, and The Vietnam War, starting as an enlisted man and then rising to captain. Ensemble consists of the following items. Bruce’s framed original medal group, consisting of a legion of Merit with V and Navy Commendation Medal with V, among 14 framed medals (all unnamed as issued). A named, engraved officers Mameluke sword. Numerous photos, clippings, and memorabilia. A large collection of official paperwork and documents, including citations for valor awards, promotion documents, large and small photos, orders, and a bonanza of other miscellaneous paperwork and correspondence. Bruce received his Commendation Ribbon (later the medal when issued) with a V for valor for manning a heavy machine gun on the light cruiser U. Louis during kamikaze attacks of Leyte and Okinawa. His V for valor on the Legion of Merit medal was for service in Vietnams An Hua Province, where he established a supply base and rendered aid to wounded Marines while under rocket and mortar attack. The Marine Corps officers’ sword, overall length 36.75, is a high quality example with a German made blade marked Conqueror, featuring beautiful etched engraved panels with Capt.
