SONS OF THE DESERT SOCIETY, (which he co-founded and created their iconic LOGO). LEGENDARY CARTOONIST, RACONTEUR, BULLWINKLE, ROCKY, BORIS & NATASHA. AND MANY OTHERR CHARACTERS, WAS ALSO A PROUD MEMBER OF THE WW2 MILITARY. HAVING SERVED IN THE PHILLIPINES, SOUTHWEST PACIFIC, AND AUSTRALIA??? KILGORE WAS TWICE HONORED WITH A “MEDAL OF OCCUPATION”. IN JAPAN, AND ALSO A “VICTORY MEDAL”, BOTH BY THE TENDER AGE OF 20 YRS. ??? MEMORABILIA INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING. AL KILGORE’S DOG TAG (L2254104) ON NECK-CHAIN WITH HIS LOCKER KEY. TC spent a great deal of time going to sporting events, entertainment openings, etc. Acquiring most of his autographs in person, and many are personalized to him, or members of his family and friends. In many cases, he took pages from magazines & newspapers to be signed. We are NOT offering COA’s on these items because we are not autograph dealers. Nor do we belong to any organizations such as the UACC. However, we have seen enough photographic proof that we believe all the signatures are authentic; so we leave it to you. 1915 Lusitania Medallion Karl Goetz Satirical German Medal World War 1 May 7. The obverse shows the Lusitania sinking with text reading “Keine Bann Ware” and “Der Grossdampfer Lusitania durch ein Deutsches Tauchboot Versenkt 7 Mai 1915″. This medal is of the sinking of the Lusitania by Karl Goetz, it does have the 2nd Obverse with the correct date of 7 MAI 1915. Please see photos for more information. History of this medal. This medallion was my grandfathers and in his coin collection which he would show me from time to time. However this is one that he did not show me and was in a seperate envelope. He was in the Navy in WWII and was overseas, that is as much as he would tell me about serving. I was given his coins after he passed and put them away where they have been for 18+ years until I recently began to go through them. That is when I saw this medal for the first time. Vintage World War 1 veteran’s reunion medal/pin from the 1931 80th. Blue Ridge division in 1931. Ribbon is slightly wrinkled from years of storage. It reads as follows 12th Annual National Reunion of the Blue Ridge Div. 1931 Has some patina as you can see in the pics, ribbon is in good condition with no visible tears. The only items included are what you see pictured, nothing else.
