Post WW1 Austrian Republic Medal for WW1 service. Tirol Defense Medal for WW1 service. Hungarian WW1 Service Medal worn in REVERSE as is typical of Austrians and Germans. This is a really great bar, besides the 9 medals, TWO things really stand out. Wearing the Hungarian service medal in reverse was often done by those who wanted to show they were NOT part of a Hungarian unit. Also, the medal bar is mounted “German style” but lacks a Hindenburg medal. This was often seen by those who opposed reunification with Germany in 1934 but might have still be serving.
