It is suspended from a full wrap broach that is complete with pin and roller locking catch assembly. The short black leatherette case is titled “AIR MEDAL” in gold leaf in one line on the outer lid. The interior remains in clean and undamaged. The Air Medal was awarded for the successful completion of 20 operational combat sorties against the enemy. This one remains a fine example of the Navy/Marine Corps decoration.
