This is a fine U. Navy/Marine Corps Second World War Bronze Star Medal in its titled, short black leatherette presentation case in excellent condition. The star planchet retains a very attractive age toned patina to both the front and back sides. The detail is very sharp and pronounced due to the excellent strike of the piece. The star planchet is suspended from the original ribbon. The ribbon is mounted on the correct WWII Navy/Marine Corps full wrap broach and is complete with the original and fully functional pin assembly on the reverse side. The reverse of the star is unnamed. Accompanying this beautiful medal is a pin back ribbon bar that originally came with the decoration. The medal comes a Navy/Marine Corps style short, black leatherette presentation case, which bears the title, “Bronze Star Medal” in gold leaf on two lines.
