Double Silver Star Recipient, Legion of Merit, Double Bronze Star, Purple Heart WIA WW2 Pacific with Assault Landing, as well as significant service in the Korean War. The Bullion and Hand Sewn ribbons are likely Japanese Occupation Era Theater Made, during the period just after Korea, as the backings are Pre-1955. The Top Left Pad is likely stateside made in the Mid-1950s, on a Green Felt Base. The 11th Airborne Jump Wing / Oval is Cut-Edge Embroidered on Twill, and the Lt. & 505th PIR (Parachute Infantry Regiment) Collar Insignias are Embroidered on Twill. While I haven’t been able to research it yet, given the Rank/Combination of Awards/and Likely Timeframe, it may be possible to figure out the veteran’s name. Overall condition is Very Fine+, with typical signs of wear and oxidation. This is a really interesting block of uniform worn insignia… Decorations are for United States Service personnel.
