Joseph Ludger Aurele Roussell was born at Matapedia, Quebec in 1923. Having enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on the outbreak of hostilities, he was selected for pilot training, and on qualifying for his Wings in 1942, he was commissioned Pilot Officer. After the war he qualifed at Rivers Manitoba for his parachute wings while with the RCE. While with the RCE he became a photographer by trade and did two tours of Korea. After Korea he was sent to Los Alamos in the US for photography of the Nuclear testing. Not shown but included with this lot is a pass to enter the USA as he was post to Los Alamos. Also a copy of his service records are included with this lot. Though the medals are framed the Korean war medals are named to him which you can just see in the picture. Also included is a 5000 cups of tea from the salvation army which is named to him. A nice historical group which doesnt come up that often.
