Poppy Medal Framing offer a WW2 Wings Frame for WW2 Pilots Wings space for photo or our photo plate above apertures for 2 WW2 Stars and Defence and War Medals with space for optional nameplate in sky blue velvet coated framed board. The item on offer is the framed board only! No wings or medals or photoplate or nameplate are included and are pictured to illustrate the frame once completed. We can supply cloth pilots wings and photoplate or nameplate as required and replica medals as required. If a different wing is required ie Polish Pilot wings (which we also produce as replicas) or a half brevet ie Air Gunner, Navigator etc this can all be produced as well as a differing medal layout as required costs dependent on type and number of medals. We can also supply our replica medals. The photos show a frame with wings only inserted and then a completed frame we produced for a client compiled with our plates and replica medals for illustration only of a completed frame. WW2 Imperial Japanese Pilots Lot Suitcase Sword Headband Wings Medal Banner. A Japanese pilots personal lot in his suitcase. There are many interesting things; an equipment bag, two sets of pilots wings, a wool flight suit collar, a medal box with pin and rosette, a medal, a religious banner? A Kamikaze headband, a short sword scabbard and sword bag, and keys for the suitcase. The suitcase has wood trim and is 34 x 18 x 8. It has custom built features, one is holder for a sword, the other is a ring to hold an officers hat. The headband is cotton with a cherry blossom stamp on the back. The short sword is an old samurai case, nice tsuba, wrapped handle with gold trimmed menuki. The blade is missing, replaced with a wood blade. (the original steel blade was likely used for the pilots personal demise as is tradition). A nice lot, and rare. All museum quality original items. I found this RARE 3-combat-jumps set of paratrooper wings pinned inside the case of this medal, many years ago early 1990s? I assume this US Army paratrooper jumped into Sicily, Normandy and Holland (“a bridge too far”), but that’s just a guess. I don’t need to point out that the accompanying item shows that he was injured in action. Nice fairly early example of this medal, given the engraved number. If you catch my drift. WW2 Korea P-38 & B-26 Pilot Group Named Air Medal Wings Sterling & CBI Made More

A very nice group from a pilot who flew P-38 Lightings in WWII and flew the B-26 Invader night bomber in Korea. This group has some limited research included. During WWII he served in the CBI China Burma India and acquired 2 local made bullion wings. They are gorgeous with very little wear and bright patina. The pilot and Command Pilot wings are both sterling. The slotted brooch Air Medal has the official US engraving from the Korean War and includes the box. There are 4 dog tags including his 2 next of kin. All other insignia in the pictures are included. E, they are not perfect items. I do however try my best to research each an every item I find and give the best description listing possible. I treat you the customer the same way I would want and expect to be treated. Named Ww2 DFC Award Class A Jacket Army Air Corps Major Mark Fredson. From Washington state, this officer had a lot of time in the war. 4 Pacific battle stars, DFC, I have not put in for his records but shouldnt be a problem getting them. Lovely jacket, overall good condition. Lining in the center has come unstitched but not very noticeable as shown in photos.
