This is one of the real rarities in US Medal collecting! Scarce type one red cased navy marine corps medal with ribbon bar. Case shows normal light use from display storage but color is good as is in the interior. The medal is a early proper production with frosted wrap brooch and short stiff ribbon. Please see the pictures for final description. This rare medal is part of a small but fine old collection or USN USMC type early cased valor medals we recently obtained. Fourth Class breast badge, 65mm including wreath and swords suspension x 38mm, silvered and blackened metal, reverse dated 1939, on pin mounted Mourning riband for Next of Kin. 1939 Russia Finland War era. The Order was created on 16 December 1940 from the previous Cross of Liberty which had been founded on 4 March 1918 at the time of Finlands war for independence. Ww1 Era Morroco Order Ouissam Alaouite, Type 1 Grand Commander Medal & Star Set

Offered is an original medal set from Morocco, being the Order of Ouissam Alaouite, type 1 (1913-34), Grand Commanders set of insignia, by Arthus Bertrand of Paris. Type I set of insignia, including the neck badge, being of 3 construction, in silver with red, white and green enamels, gilt on the reverse centrepiece, type II as defined by the lack of inscriptions on the arms on the obverse, hallmarked with a boar’s head (denoting French manufacture of 900 silver) on the obverse of the integral ring, marked with a boar’s head and maker. On the obverse of the loop, A. & Co (Arthus Bertrand of Paris) measuring 58 mm x 84 mm inclusive of its wreath and laterally-pierced ball suspension, chipping evident in the red enamels in some sections, a couple of very small contact marks on the reverse centrepiece, on a short length of neck ribbon. The Breast Star, of 3 piece construction, insignia in silver with red, white and green enamels (repaired to centre chip), hallmarked with a boar’s head on both the catch and pin, along with being maker marked A. & Co (Arthus Bertrand of Paris) on the pin, measuring 75mm x 78mm. The Order of Ouissam Alaouite (AKA Sharifian Order of Al-Alaoui) is a military decoration of Morocco which is bestowed by the King of Morocco upon those civilians and military officers who have displayed heroism in combat or have contributed meritorious service to the Moroccan state. The decoration was established on January 11, 1913 in replacement of the Order of Ouissam Hafidien. It is awarded in five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight. WW1 French unofficial victory medal “Charles”. This French victory medal was designed by “Charles”, the engraver of the firm “Chaubillon” who make the Cuban victory medal for the Cuban government. The French victory medal was instituted on 24 January 1919, to be attributed to all French military who had served in France, Russia, Middle East and Africa during WW1. Offered is a First World War era Member of the Order of the British Empire M. Features a 49mm wide silver cross patonce on Tudor crown suspension; the face with a circular central medallion imposed with the portrait of Britannia seated, her left arm extended, a radiant sun above right, within a ring inscribed FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE; the reverse with a circular central medallion with the crowned cipher of King and Emperor George V within a rope border, silver hallmarks for Sebastian Henry Garrard of London, dated 1917, on correct, worn, mounted ribbon. Medal comes in the original Garrard & Co. A rare 1st year of issue First World M. This is a perfect oppurtunity to fill the gap in your missing medal group. The Order was instituted by King George V on 4 June 1917 in five grades to acknowledge the service of non-combatants during wartime. In 1918 the Order was divided into Civil and Military divisions. Type 1 medals with the original cylindrical suspension was replaced by a barrel-shape suspensiom, as in this example, Laslo Type 2. About 90,000 medals were produced making the Czechoslovak Victory Medal comparatively rare and good original examples are becoming harder to find. The reverse has a center shield showing the Bohemian lion with the coat of arms of Slovakia on its breast and is encircled with linden leaves, the dates 1914 and 1919 on a ribbon to either side, and SVETOVA VALKA ZA CIVILISACI (The Great War for Civilisation).
