WW1 medal pair as worn by Thomas Norcliffe, who served with the 3rd & 11th Hussars during the First World War. The pair is named to: 11665 PTE. They come with their original ribbons. Thomas Norcliffe enlisted for service on the 3rd November 1905, allotted to the 11th Hussars. He was transferred to the 3rd Hussars on the 26th March 1918. Transferred to the Iniskilling Fusiliers 30th September 1921. Married to Ellen Parfoot and looked after 3 children, two o which were illegitimate. Lived in Wakefiled, Yorkshire. 100% GENUINE FULL SIZE & CORRECTLY NAMED. WW1 pair & memorial plaque. The recipient served with the 1/5th battalion & died of wounds in France & Flanders 17-7-1917. He was born in Kiveton park & enlisted in Elland whilst living in Hollywell green. The recipients surname is spelt Gilmoor on the medals & Gilmour on the plaque (James Ross Gilmour). British War and Victory Medals 1031399 Pte. Mounted as worn; together with a Canadian Decoration, G. George Russell Hulme was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, U. On 19 March 1896. Employed as a Clerk and living at 381 Columbus Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts, he attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 23 October 1917. He served overseas in the 13th Battalion Canadian Infantry. He or a person of the same name was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration as a Trooper in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps in January 1954. Worthy of further research.
