This empire lasted from 1932 to 1945, so medals from here are quite desirable and scarce. This is the 7th Class Order of the Auspicious Clouds Medal. This was originally gilted in gold, and this faded so easily. So to find an example like this one with a lot of the gilt remaining is amazing. Although there are spots of fading and wear, you will be hard pressed to find one better than this. Wear and tear evident. PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS FOR CONDITION! Check out Dai Nippon Military Antiques medal website! I pack well to reduce the chance of damage, but sometimes the boxes are handled roughly. The item “Rare! This empire lasted from 1932 to 1945, so medals from here are quite desirable and scarce. This is the Manchukuo Order of the Auspicious Clouds 7th Class Medal. These were gilt in gold, but as is so often the case, the gilt has mostly faded. You can see traces on the obverse and the gilt is a bit clearer on the reverse, but most is gone. Hallmarked’M’ on suspension knob, which indicates a Japan Mint manufacture. Original lacquered wood case, but it has some nicks and wear. Wear and tear evident. PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS FOR CONDITION! Check out Dai Nippon Military Antiques medal website! I pack well to reduce the chance of damage, but sometimes the boxes are handled roughly. The item “Rare! T his is a very good example of the Order of the Golden Kite 4th/5th Class Medal. Note that while the case and loose rosette are 100% original 4th Class items, the medal itself is probably a 5th Class still a highly desirable piece! The only difference between these classes was a gilt wash, and this medal has none. The gilt may have completely faded–I have seen that happen–but for the sake of clarity I must assume it is a 5th Class. Awarded for distinguished military service and/or deeds. There is some slight wear to the enamel, but overall it looks great. In addition, one of the reverse rivets is missing. Original lacquered wood case of issue. PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS FOR CONDITION! Wear and tear evident. Check out Dai Nippon Military Antiques medal website! There is an extra charge, though. I pack well to reduce the chance of damage, but sometimes the boxes are handled roughly.
