Type 1 medals with the original cylindrical suspension was replaced by a barrel-shape suspensiom, as in this example, Laslo Type 2. About 90,000 medals were produced making the Czechoslovak Victory Medal comparatively rare and good original examples are becoming harder to find. The reverse has a center shield showing the Bohemian lion with the coat of arms of Slovakia on its breast and is encircled with linden leaves, the dates 1914 and 1919 on a ribbon to either side, and SVETOVA VALKA ZA CIVILISACI (The Great War for Civilisation).
