Here is a World War I US Victory Medal. The Medal was US Army as it features a pair of Campaign Bars. These are Aisne – Marne and Defensive Sector. It is named to Galen B Joyce and though the Medal is not struck with a number the receipt has the Medal’s US Army Quartermaster Depot registered number: 1,214,557. Given the Aisne – Marne Campaign the soldier may have been wounded and recovered in the Defensive Sector. The group includes the Medal with Campaign Bars, Box, Envelope and Receipt with data dated 1935 The Medal itself was made just after the War and was in inventory.
