WW1 Original Interallied Cuba Victory Medal Genuine Official Issue Rare. Here is a genuine, pristine, Cuban Interallied WW1 Victory Medal. It speaks for itself through the photos. The medal is mounted with a replacement ribbon, and comes with its original, though aged ribbon. A Bit of History. Paraphrased from Alexander J. Laslos Interallied Victory Medals of WW1. Early in the WW1, Cuba declared neutrality, but in 1917, when the U. Declared war on Germany, Cuba took immediate action to align herself to the U. By declaring war a day later. Cuban participation remained nil as the war ended in 1918. The Cuban Victory Medal, like the French version by designer C. Charles, is marked on the edge below the figure of Victory with the word Bronze and the Chobillion hallmark, a sunken triangle. The late renowned German researcher Dr. Klietmann had estimated that between 6,000 to 7,000 Cuban Victory Medals were issued.
