US MARINE CORPS GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL ID 1951. Marked : VICTOR V OLSEN 1951.
The uniform has a few holes on the arms. The name Kling is written inside and the card with the name Lt Gilbert C Kling was found in one of the pockets. The jacket has Air Transport Command DIs on the shoulders and a bullion Air Corps patch on the left arm. The Air Medal comes with the case, small piece of extra ribbon and lapel pin. The case has some cracking and shows wear. The Air Medal is a wrap brooch style and is not numbered. Also included is an Aerial Gunners expert badge, 2 ribbons, 2 patches and a ruptured duck pin.
For sale is a Post WW2 Royal Observer Corps Medal To Observer R. This medal includes its original ribbon which is attached to a badge ready to wear by the recipient, this also comes with the original box and rice paper packet. The Royal Observer Corps Medal was instituted in 1950 by King George VI for long service by members of the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) in the United Kingdom. It was awarded until December 1995, when the ROC was stood down. This is in excellent condition.
The medal is in excellent condition. Comes with two other pins and the original case.
The planchet features a military soldier walking beside a civilian. Above them, along the upper edge are the words, “Marine Corps Reserve” and below their feet are the words, “For Service”. The reverse is with the words, “Fidelity, Zeal, Obedience” around the outer edge with the plain center not being engraved. The planchet is with virtually all the original bronze finish. It is suspended from the original ribbon and mounted on a full wrap broach. Both the pin and roller locking assemblies are fully functional. A very hard to find example that remains in excellent condition.
