Lot consists of 3 dogtags (acid etched fingerprint to rear and 1941 dated), general officer rank insignia (pinbacked Hilborn Hamburger marked), colonel’s rank insignia pinbacked “SHOLD-R-FORM marked”, a variety of campaign medal and award ribbon sets and bars, a set of dress collar EGAs (NS Meyer 1/20 10k and “STERLING” marks), two swagger sticks (both with sterling pommel caps one with two stars and his name inscribed “DEWITT PECK” and the other with EGA end cap and sterling tip), his 1937 dated campaign hat with awesome EGA (EGA is HH eagle marked and hat has some chinese writing piece of paper in the band and his name “PECK” inked on the sweatband), a commissioning (1915) or WW1 era photo of him in dress blues with visible hat and collar EGAs in a frame, a brass and wood name plate for when he was in China as a Colonel, a leather case for insignia with his initials DeW. , his WW1 victory medal, his numbered 2nd Nicaraguan Campaign Medal M. 194, and a mini expeditionary medal with numeral “3″. The grouping consist of his Air and POW medal, Telegram to his wife notification of his capture in Germany, his journal with drawings and calender of his time in captivity, picture of his B-17 Air crew and all the names of his crew members and home towns. WW1 Gold Star Mothers and Widows Pilgrimage Medals and Photo Collection

After WWI, and specifically in 1929, an act of Congress facilitated organized pilgrimages to the grave sites of fallen U. Government paid the travel expenses for widows and mothers with the first group of pilgrims embarking on their journey in May of 1930. This is a collection of items from one such family’s pilgrimage. This collection was found grouped together and includes. Pilgrimage of Mothers and Widows Gold Star medal. Box in which medal was seated, marked Tiffany & Company on the front. Note that the medal itself is back-stamped B. 41 and not Tiffany. I don’t know how the two relate. An enameled picture frame with a soldier depicted. In Ohio with patent dates of 1917 and 1918. Two small enameled pins, one with a heart and one with a star. These photos were found under an interior flap in the Tiffany box. Because they were found together, they should be kept together. I do not want to separate and sell any of these items separately. Everything appears to be in very good, original condition. The Gold Star ribbon and the box do show some staining/soiling as can be seen. That is as much as I can tell you about these items.
