It was awarded to Japanese soldiers during World War II (1939-45) who were fighting in Manchukuo, a puppet state of Japan.
PRE-WWI IMPERIAL JAPANESE ORDER OF THE KITE MEDAL 4th CLASS SILVER MULTI ENAMEL AND MULTI PIECE RIVETED CONSTRUCTION. ORIGINAL ISSUE TISSUE PAPER PRESENT. VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH SLIGHT FLAKE LOSS TO THE RED ENAMEL AT THE TIP CONNECTING TO THE RIBBON. 3 1/2 x 1 3/4, TOTAL WEIGHT 30.9 GRAMS.
