WWI World War One British 1914 Mons Star Medal Trio George Hall Grenadier Guards

Of the actual medals and Clasp in question and not stock photo. George Hall from Bristol joined 1 Grenadier Guards in 1907 and signed for seven years. He was rapidly promoted to Lance Corporal but received a penalty shortly after – the removal of L/Cpl stripes for being in a dirty state (unspecified). Curious that he subsequently remained a private in Grenadier Guards throughout the initial seven years and then throughout WWI, for which he extended his service. Older style online MIC confirms title and award of 1914 Star to 13131 Pte A Hall of 1 Grenadier Guards and records date of entry to theatre of war as being 6 October 1914 (confirming title to Clasp). Another online MIC, updated version, confirms title and award of BWM and AVM to 13131 Guardsman George Hall of Grenadier Guards , date of entry to theatre of war again given as 6 October 1914. 1914 Star impressed to Pte A Hall etc, Pair impressed to Pte G Hall etc. There are no other MICs online showing any Star awarded to any 13131 Pte G Hall, nor any showing any Pair awarded to any 13131 Pte A Hall. 13131 Pte A Hall and 13131 Pte George Hall are one and the same. The only explanation is that Guardsman 13131 George Hall kept his 1914 Star and Clasp incorrectly impressed with the wrong initial. Please see others listed. No other details or papers held. Offered is an original 1911 King George V Delhi Durbar medal. 39mm wide circular silver medal on swivel loop suspension; the face with the crowned head and shoulders portraits of King George V and Queen Mary in coronation robes in relief, facing left within a floreate wreath; the reverse with a central circular panel inscribed Delhi 1911 in Persian script, circumscribed The Durbar of George V, Emperor of India, Master of the British Lands in Persian script; display court mounted. The medal was awarded to some of the military present at the Delhi Durbar held in 1911 to mark the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary and also to others not present to recognise exemplary service. The time has come to part with my war medal collection, accumulated over many years, in order to pursue other interests. Over the next few months I will be listing my entire collection as time permits. Please bear with me as this is not my area of expertise, however I will endeavour to make my listings as accurate as possible. All the research was carried out by a third party and is listed with the information provided. A GEORGE V, DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER. Circa World War 1. Order is complete with top brooch pin bar and ribbon. Obverse enamel is intact, however there is a slight loss of white enamel to reverse top arm of cross.
