Very good condition ww2 era auschwitz survivor medal.
World War Two Polish Commemorative Monte Cassino Cross with a matching Legitimation Card issued to private Henryk Tutaj, of the 7th Anti-Armoured Artillery Regiment. Good condition as in photographs. Bombadier (Lance Corporal in the Artillery) Henryk Tutaj was born on the 1st April 1921, His Fathers name was Bronislaw, his Army Number also found on his identification tags 1921/43/III, Unit : 7PAPpanc. He came to the UK married Alina and in 1965 Applied for and was granted British Citizenship London Gazette entry in Issue Number : 43718, Page : 6955, Dated 20th July 1965. Henryk died in Spain on the 3rd April 1990 and was buried in Milford Cemetery, Waverley in Surrey, Alina who was born in January 1920 died on the 11th March 1999 and was buried with her husband. Cross shaped bronze award. On the front inscription “Monte Cassino Maj 1944″. On the reverse number “35,552″. With the cross a Legitimation Card with the corresponding number.
A rare complete group of insignia to the 22nd Artillery Supply Company famous for its bear soldier “Wojtek”. The set consists of a pair o. F collar “Wojtek” 22nd Artillery Supply Company Insignia and a “Wojtek” 22nd Artillery Supply Company Breast. Badge in the form of a driving wheel, with a bear holding an artillery shell, green enamel background. Smooth reverse with the maker “Pagani SPA, Milano”, above the mark a threaded post and a spinner. All badges are with the original spinners and washers. One of the most iconic units of the 2nd Polish Corps. A beautiful, hard to find group. Wojtek accompanied the 2nd Polish Corps through the Italian Campaign, serving with the 22nd Artillery Supply Company. During the Battle of Monte Cassino, in Italy in 1944, Wojtek helped move crates of ammunition and became a celebrity with visiting Allied generals and statesmen. After the war, once the Polish army was disbanded Wojtek lived out the rest of his life at the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. The 22nd Supply Company is most famous for its bear soldier “Wojtek” which became the symbol of the company and the legend of the Polish Army in Exile. Polish Badge of the 9th Flanders Rifle Battalion of the 1st Armored Division of general Maczek. One-piece badge in the shape of a stylized eagle with a crown. The left wing of the eagle has been incorporated with the sign of the 1st Armored Division. In the lower part of the badge, the battalion’s initials (9BSF) are inscribed, separated by a shield with the Belgian coat of arms. The reverse side of the badge is smooth, a threaded post in the center with a smooth nut spinner. Badge numbered at the bottom, No. Condition as shown in the photos. A WW2 group to Lt. Jan Halka was a pre-war Polish Army Cadet, he fought in the September 1939 campaign against the Germans in which he was wounded. From 1940 he was involved in the Polish underground the Armia Krajowa. By 1944 he was a Lieutenant and was involved in several actions against the Germans including sabotage, destruction of trains, attacks on enemy convoys and during one of these attacks he was wounded again. He took part in Akcja Burza in the middle of 1944. Document from Sept 1939 about him being sent to a another unit. German occupation work document with Nazi stamps. Document issued by the Soviet/Polish Secret Police (Urzad Bezpeczenstwa) to allow him to return to Poland in 1946(Very RARE). Documents related to him being awarded a Virtuti Militari in 1944.
