This is a WWII insignia that would have been worn by members of the 812Th Tank Destroyer Battalion. The enamel and gold verme is in very good condition considering these insignia badges are 70+ years old. The back of the badge reads Sterling AE Co. The larger DUI badge has a black enamel background with a gold eagle diving and the banner under it reading “I Strike Swiftly”. The two smaller badges have purple enamel background with the gold eagle with a soldier with a gun clasped in it’s tallon with a banner under that reads “Vincit Qui Primum Gerit” translation He conquers who gets there first. This was the insignia of the 1st Troop Carrier Command of the US Air Forces.
