800 silver Iron Cross first class pin medal badge Imperial WW1 German 1914 award. Here is your chance to own a lovely Gallipoli star with a vertical pin. The vertical reverse setup, in my experience, is much harder to find than the horizontal counterpart. I believe I see a maker mark to the right of the pin but it is foreign and I don’t recognize it. Some minor chips in the enamel as can be seen in the photos but nothing major whatsoever. Tombak construction and slightly vaulted. Would be perfect for a tunic display. High qualtiy award in best condition. Gallipoli Star award of WW I and WW II from unknown producer. (Think a jeweler produced the medal in order for the German officer). Big size of Gallipoli Star for German WW I officers! More photos in this discription!! German Navy soldier with the Iron Crescent of Gallipoli star on photo. Known in Germany and Austria under the name Iron Crescent Ottoman War Medal (Ottoman , A arb Madalyas) was donated on March 1, 1915 by Sultan Mehmed V. And consists of only one class. It was awarded to members of the Ottoman Empire and also to relatives of its allies. In English-speaking countries, it is also referred to as the “Gallipoli Star”. The Iron Crescent was the last award donated by the Ottoman Empire. The war medal is in the form of a five-pointed, red-enameled star on which the crescent rests. In the middle is the cipher (“Tughra”) of the Sultan, including the date (1333 = 1915). The order was awarded with an official certificate. In addition to the sultan, the two supreme commanders Enver Pascha and Liman von Sanders were entitled to the award ceremony. With the truce of the Ottoman Empire on October 30, 1918, the award was not awarded. After 1920, however, the Sultan refused to recognize other than his own awards. The Turkish law of November 21, 1951, expressly permits the wearing of former imperial Ottoman orders and decorations, as far as they had been conferred for merit in war. 27th Div WW1 Officially Engraved Purple Heart Medal + Paperwk Silver Star Recipt

This is a World War One medal, and World War One began in 1914 and ended in 1918 – 100 years ago. Purple Heart Medal with official government engraving to William Shearer for wounds suffered in World War 1 (WWI). Shearer served as a Sergeant in Company I, 107th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. He was wounded in action on September 29, 1918, probably during the Somme Offensive. This is an officially government engraved purple heart. Shearer also received a Silver Star, but I do not have his Silver Star Medal. This is an American Emblem Company enameled medal with split wrap brooch. The medal is numbered 53362 Both medal and ribbon are in good condition. The ribbon drape shows some wear as you can see in the pictures. Included with the medal is the following documentation. A copy of his AGO card for his Purple Heart. A copy of his AGO card for his Silver Star. A copy of a paragraph from the history of the 107th showing his citation for the Silver Star. This will be packed securely to arrive safely.
