Highest prussia award in WW I!! Carried in WW II too!! Please read the discription (more photos)!! Pour le Merite WW I and WW II with oak leaves. Came from a old German private collection!! This valuable pour le merite came from a great old collection. The medal was made after WW I maybe in the 30`years for veterans and highly officers. Mostly pour le merite were destroyed after the war. Early in the 30´years started the producing for the veterans. Erwin Rommel was a veteran of WW I. He had the pour le merite in the WW I and wore the medal in WW II too. This pour le merite medal looks valuable and wonderful for a collection. Imperial German World War I Miniature Pour Le Merite Blue Max Decoration Medal

Imperial German World War I Miniature Pour Le Merite Blue Max Decoration Medal. Measures 13/16 wide by 13/16 tall. The front has Kings crown on the upper arm with an F below. It reads Pour Le Merite. The reverse side is blank. Has an eagle in each corner with powder blue enamel inside a brass frame double sided. The brass lapel button is maker marked and reads Godet & Sohn Berlin with a star burst in the center. Includes the presentation black cotton and flat silver bullion wire ribbon attached above. This was Germanys highest award for gallantry in combat action during WWI. Otherwise, I reserve the right to cancel your order. Beatiful Prinzen size POUR LE MERITE medal and ribbon. Medal is marked on the suspension web JGUS for Johanes Godet and sons. Ribbon does not flouresce and shows no signs of wear. Suspension loop shows proper characteristics of the rounded bends and soft rounded clipped ends. While not a highly prized neck order, still a wonderful representation of a highly sought after award!
