This is an original veterans medal, issued in 1939. The medal is still in good condition and weighs 26.84 grams. The ribbon ring is closed and everything looks very fine and antique. Brooch button hole fastener is marked with two stamped hallmarks FR in a diamond and a dog’s head in hexagon with an “A” and “4″. From my research and from the item itself, the FR indicated the piece was made in France for export. The cartouche indicated this is gold on platinum chain and button fastener. 1914 Iron Cross silvered Tombac. Military Long Service Cross for 15 Years. Bavarian King Ludwig Cross.
