This group came to me exactly as you see it, in this very old and attractive leather case maybe crocodile skin? It contains the medals, beret, books, photos, letters and docs to 7904215 Pte Horace Turner RAC. His red Army Service book has been censored and shows him as enlisted on 12/10/40. His red driving licence is also from 1940 , Catterick. There are lots of photos and docs that seen to relate to North Africa so he was a Desert Rat I guess! You can see his service from his medal group. The black beret was his and is in good shape, dated 1942 and must be the one in the photo! The docs are wartime dated and the leaflet of Hitler is hilarious! The’Tobruk Truth’ document will need taping back together. The grey book on the 7th Armd Div has an inscription inside from’A Sqn, 1st Royal Tanks. Overall, a lovely’time capsule’ to this soldier.
