Royal Navy boxed complete WW2 medal group with PACIFIC clasp

A complete & original boxed WW2 Royal Navy medal group consisting of. Atlantic Star, Africa Star, Burma Star with Pacific clasp and 1939-45 War Medal along with the Admiralty medal award slip showing the 6 medals and clasp were awarded. Also included are the small paper packets that originally contained the ribbons and all contained in the original Director of Navy Accounts box of posting. The medal box is addressed to. (the surname is indistinct but starts with a’T’ and ends with’an’), 20 Whitton Manor Road, Isleworth, Middlesex. His Official Number P/JX246973 is also written on the box. The ink has faded so will take a bit of detective work to establish his surname. If there was an index of Royal Navy Official numbers it would be easy! The medals & clasp are in excellent condition and the ribbons are a bit crushed from being in the box. Served in Co B, 101st Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Division. With copy of AGO card, stating WIA Nov 1, 1918; Medal issued 6/20/1941. This is a Metal Arts made piece, #d 71967. Complete with box, labelled Metal Arts, and ribbon bar. As seen in photos, box is weak, sides bent in, but its all there. INFANTRY RECORDS OFFICE BOX -BUT NAME ON THE FRONT IS UNFORTUNATLY PRETTY MUCH UNREADABLE AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURES. 2 SHOWS THE “WRAPPING LABLE” ON BOTH PARTS OF THE BOX “MATCHING UP” WHERE ITS BEEN OPENED. NO ISSUE SLIP -BUT 3 X MEDALS 39/45 & FRANCE – GERMANY STAR AND A WAR MEDAL. STARS WITH A MATCHING COLOUR & THE RIBBONS HAVE THE SAME “LOOK” TO THEM. A BROKEN SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE CAP BADGE. FOLDED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX IS A NEWSPAPER CUTTING IN WHICH. PRIVATE HERBERT HARVEY -SOUTH STAFFS REGIMENT GIVES HIS ACCOUNT OF BEING CAPTURED AT ARNHEM.
