For your consideration a full size VINTAGE WW 1 Victory military medal with CHAMPAGNE-MARNE, AISNE-MARNE, ST. MIHIEL, MEUSE-ARGONNE AND DEFENSIVE SECTOR BARS with pin-back Ribbon Bar (5 stars). The item in photo is the item you will receive. CRITERIA The World War I Victory Medal was awarded for military service during the First World War. It was awarded for active service between April 6, 1917, and November 11, 1918; for service with the American Expeditionary Forces in European Russia between November 12, 1918, and August 5, 1919; or for service with the American Expeditionary Forces in Siberia between November 23, 1918, and April 1, 1920. The following battle clasps, inscribed with a battle’s name, were worn on the medal to denote participation in major ground conflicts. Aisne (May 27 to June 5, 1918). Aisne-Marne (July 18 to August 6, 1918). Cambrai (May 12 to December 4, 1917). Champagne-Marne (July 15-18, 1918). Lys (April 9-27, 1918). Meuse-Argonne September 26 to Nov. Montdidier-Noyon (June 9-13, 1918). Oise-Aisne (August 18 to November 11, 1918). Mihiel (September 12-16, 1918). Somme-Defensive (March 21 to April 6, 1918). Here is an amazing WW 1 Victory Medal with 5 Campaign Bars AND PIN WITH 1 STAR, rare to find! The Campaign Bars are DEFENSE SECTOR, MEUSE-ARGONNE, ST. The medal and ribbon and bars are in nice condition as shown! The medal is used and is in a good but worn condition with signs of age and wear to the ribbon. The medal has a pin with a drop down catch fastener that is in good working order. This combination of bars was common for the 26th Infantry (Yankee) Division and the 42nd Infantry (Rainbow) Division.
