THIS LISTING IS FOR ONLY ONE MEDAL WITH VICTORY WEARING A WW1 FRENCH HELMET AND THE TITLE VICTOIRE. 36 years old at the start of hostilities with Germany in 1914, Alexandre Morlon was recalled to service on November 24, 1914 in the French Army’s automobile service of the 13th Artillery Regiment. He remained in the combat zone from Dec. 1917, moving from the 13th Artillery Regiment to the 20th train squadron June 1916 then to the 19th train squadron Nov. These years at the front marked him deeply and affected his style. His post-war medals and war memorials remain full of respect for the combatants of the Great War. DESIGNER MARKED ON THE OBVERSE.
