WW2 5th & 8th Army Air Corps / Air Force Group of S/Sgt. In AAF 1939 – 1964. Flew 26 combat missions in the Pacific and 27 Combat Missions in the European Theaters of war over Germany in a B-17 as a Tail Gunner, and Navigator. Officially Named Distinguished Flying Cross w/3 Oak leaf clusters in orig. Case with lapel pin and ribbon bar. Officially Named Air Medal w/4 oak leaf clusters in orig. Case w/lapel pin and ribbon bar. There is also 10 other medals and Gunner wings, patches and ribbon bars. I have only been able to show just a few of his documents and pictures. Burns saved everything and there are 67 Documents, 9 Newspaper clipping, and 66 pictures, in 3 Binders. Burns went into aerial photgraphy and developed a special type tool for aerial cameras and was adopted by the Photographic Department at Lowery Air Force Base, Co.
