Original WWII New York Conspicuous Service Cross Numbered & Cased. Very nice original US item. Very nice sterling silver cross made by Bastian Brothers of Rochester, New York. In excellent condition with original ribbon and brooch (which is also sterling). The cross was first awarded in 1921 and continues to be awarded today. It could be giving for particular acts of service or was automatically awarded for POWs, KIA/WIA, and servicemen at Pearl Harbor. The medal was awarded to PFC William Robert Parr, Company G, 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Division. He was awarded the decoration on August 23, 1946. The case has water damage.
