This is a group of WW1 items from a second Lieutenant in the Air Service. The group includes a super clean victory medal with france bar, a French 40-8 medal with several bars and a french medal I have not been able to identify. Also have two gold second LT. Bars his officers coat insignia plus two winged prop devices. Also have the sharpshooter medal with some initials scratched into the back. Also includes a nice 8×10 photo shot of a plane, car and officer. We do not know who the items belonged to unfortunately. The French medal looks to be a Legion of Honor medal, but has some serious enamel damage to a number of areas. The blue ring in the center has the date of 1870, but has enamel damage. The white area also has several damaged areas. The medal is in rough shape. Feel to ask questions. The item “WW1 grouping, Air service insignia, photo, French and U. S.
