There is an extensive research file. He served in the RAF on the Western Front in late 1918 as an Observer and credited driving down 1 enemy aircraft out of control. He left the RAF in April 1919. It’s not clear when he enlisted in the RAAF. He served in the Middle East between September 1941 and March 1943 and in the South West Pacific Area between February and August 1945.
