I bought this nearly 40 years ago and now it’s time for something new on our mantle. At least that is what the wife said. I know very little about this and have not researched it. Very nice old sword. Very nice blade and in great condition for how old. The iron cross is attached to scabbard with a hard wire. The cross is dated on both sides and als great condition. I’m not sure of the age or origin as I bought this from an estate sale many years ago and it’s hung on the wall ever since. It’s a little dusty and needs the sheath to be cleaned.
