Alfred was born in Somersham Huntingdonshire (now Cambridgeshire), enlisted in Lincoln and died of his wounds in France and Flanders, 1. His wife Flo lived in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex. This collection would be a great research project. Some of the papers may not relate to Alfred but to his family but were all in an envelope with the medals and plaque. Named to Alfred Wootten, no papers, envelope etc. Named on the edge to 6995 Pte A. Comes with no papers / box but a long piece of ribbon which may be original. Silver British War Medal.
