Poignant group of medals, photos, papers for 29 year old Lance Corporal Bruce Wilson from Leeds, a Casualty who died on September 30th 1944, serving with 1st Bn. Coldstream Guards in the Battle of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Three awarded medals with box of issue addressed to his wife including the France and Germany Star, the medals and box are in excellent/very good condition, it appears they had seldom if ever removed from the box. Two studio portraits of him in uniform, the larger one mounted on card, probably previously kept framed at some time. Buckingham Palace sympathy and gratitude letter in period small frame, typed name at top (some marks, fading, folds). Also included are CWG grave location and other researched paperwork. A superb and rare medal grouping from the Arnhem Battle 75 years ago. See photos for details and condition.
