George V General Service medal (with Iraq clasp) – named to 3283 S. George V Long Service and Good Conduct medal named to 7578830 S. C In 14-18 the rank was Serjeant. The usual abbreviation was Sjt. The spelling of Sergeant and the abbreviation Sgt is post 14-18. The ribbons are originals and they are open mounted. Condition Some of the ribbons are frayed, the medals have virtually no knocking. Obtained directly from the family descendants, a new-to-market WW2 group of eight medals. 1939/45 Star, Africa Star with 1st Army bar, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence medal (silver), Canadian Volunteer Service medal and clasp (silver), War medal (silver), Army Long Service and Good Conduct medal (EIIR) bar Canada. All eight medals engraved to SP28105 Sgt S. For service with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. Lightly plated, court-mounted, as worn. Residents of Ontario 13% HST. Prince Edward Island 14% HST.
