Field service Afghanistan & Kabul. For absence and drunkenness. Discharged Gosport termination of enlistment. Service papers show a long list of garrison postings through his service in England, Japan, India & Afghanistan. Royal Norfolk Regiment: In 1866 it landed at Yokohama, Japan as part of the British garrison stationed there in protection of British commercial and diplomatic interests in the recently opened treaty port.
