For sale we have a set of WW 1 British Campaign Medals with ribbons. The above three medals were awarded to Pte T J Thompson 18-325 Royal Irish Rifles. Original full sized First World War medal trio and memorial plaque awarded to Private Albert Edward Beaumont who served during the Great War with the 18th Battalion – London Regiment (London Irish Rifles). He was killed in action on 2nd July 1915 and is remembered with honour at Mazingarbe Communal Cemetery. Albert Beaumont was born in 1882 and from West Southbourne, Bournemouth. At the outbreak of war he was working in Belgium, his two identity papers are included. On the reverse of one of the papers is written’ The Bourgmestre (Major) of the city of Ghent certifies that Mr Beaumont Edward is a British subject, that he is a perfect gentleman and that he would be of service as interpreter. Full sized First World War medal trio and memorial plaque awarded to the next of kin of Private George Feast who served during the Great War with the Bedfordshire Regiment before transferring to the 5th Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers. Private Feast was Killed in Action on the 8th December 1915 at Kosturino during the retreat from Serbia. The 1914 – 15 Star and British War & Victory Medal named to. The Memorial Plaque named to. Also included is the medal box for the British War and Victory Medals, a photograph of George Feast, issue certificates for all three medals. The memorial plaque has hanging lugs soldered to the reverse. The medal ribbons are replacements. Please view photos for accurate condition.
