British WW1 Military Medal & Mons Star Trio – Herbert Howe – Army Service Corps. On offer is WW1 Military Medal and Mons Star trio awarded to T3/024717 Driver Herbert Howe, Army Service Corp (“ASC”). His trio is marked as ASC, with his Military Medal named as RASC, following the 1918 change to the Royal Army Service Corps. Driver Howe entered the Western Front on 5 November 1914, with the 5th Divisional Train, Army Service Corps, supporting the 23rd Infantry Brigade. In addition to being awarded a 1914 “Mons Star” medal trio, Howe was awarded the Military Medal on 17 June 1919, in recognition of his bravery in the field during his service.
