WW2 Sweetheart set (Pins, Compact, Medals, Ring, Trench Art Hearts) Condition is excellent used. Nice World War 2 Sweetheart set for “Gug” (short for Gugluizza)and Betty. The set consists of the following. 5 x 7 original black and white photo of the soldier. 1.5 X 3 compact featuring a colorized photo of Gug plus faux mother-of-pearl case. Brooch (1.25 inch diameter) featuring Gug’s face. Large blinged-out “B” worn by Betty. Trench art aluminum hearts with the names Betty and Gug. These look like they were fashioned from wrecked Japanese airplanes. A souvenir ring with Manila, PI (“Phillipine Islands”) -1945, size medium. American Defense Medal and Good Conduct Medals with slot brooch. Ribbon bars for Good Conduct, American Defense, Pacific Theater (with 4 battle stars and an invasion arrowhead) and Phillipine Liberation Medal with two battle stars, and. A copy of the first page of Gug’s Honorable Discharge in July 1945. Definitely all original 1945 items. The 94th AAA Group participated in the following campaigns – New Guinea, East Indies, Luzon and Leyte. Check back with M43cap guy every so often. I’m planning to list more relics from my collection!
