No clasps were awarded. Around the rim is the recipient’s information 4229 Pte A. 2 Queen’s South Africa Medal which is also in silver with 3 State clasps- Transvaal, Orange Free State and Cape Colony. This medal was awarded to British and Colonial military personnel and civilians employed in official capacity who served in the Second Boer War in South Africa from 11 October 1899 to 31 May 1902.
