Rare Original WW2 Chindit Special Forces casualty medal group to. 14397514 Pte James Henry Tocker died 4.6.44. He was in the 7th Bn Leicestershire Regiment, 14th Brigade on Column 45 and 74 who were in the thick of the fighting when he died during. Operation Thursday in 1944. Lot consists of his medals, named box of issue to his wife, condolance slip with crease fold tear to centre, uniform photo but cannot quite make out the cap badge is Leicesters or not, family post war ration books to the same address. Confirmed on the WW2 Special Forces Roll of Honour list.

WW2 Chindit Medal Group of (5) to Sgt. Waddoupe, The Buffs ex Oxfordshire. Waddoups, The Buffs, who appears to have been a Chindit. 1939-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp, 8th Army; Burma Star; Defence and War Medals 1939-45. Arthur Cyril Patrick Waddoups was born on 26 July 1917 and was a wagon painter for the London North Eastern Railway upon his enlistment at Fleet on 20 June 1940. He served with the 7th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and The Buffs, (East Kent Regiment); In April 1940 he married Doris Cooknell at Brackley, Northamptonshire. With (1) scarce original Chindit cloth Badge, Soldier’s Service and Pay Book, Release Book, (1) Buffs shoulder title (moth hole) and Burma Star Association Badge. Discharged in the rank of Sergeant from 1st Bn in 1946. 8th Army clasp is loose on ribbon, medals appear to of never have been worn.
