Here for your consideration is a very personal collection of AL KILGORE’S MILITARY SERVICE. KILGORE KNOWN MAINLY FOR HIS ASSOCIATION WITH THE LAUREL AND HARDY. SONS OF THE DESERT SOCIETY, (which he co-founded and created their iconic LOGO). LEGENDARY CARTOONIST, RACONTEUR, BULLWINKLE, ROCKY, BORIS & NATASHA. AND MANY OTHERR CHARACTERS, WAS ALSO A PROUD MEMBER OF THE WW2 MILITARY. HAVING SERVED IN THE PHILLIPINES, SOUTHWEST PACIFIC, AND AUSTRALIA??? KILGORE WAS TWICE HONORED WITH A “MEDAL OF OCCUPATION”. IN JAPAN, AND ALSO A “VICTORY MEDAL”, BOTH BY THE TENDER AGE OF 20 YRS. ??? MEMORABILIA INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING. AL KILGORE’S DOG TAG (L2254104) ON NECK-CHAIN WITH HIS LOCKER KEY. TC spent a great deal of time going to sporting events, entertainment openings, etc. Acquiring most of his autographs in person, and many are personalized to him, or members of his family and friends. In many cases, he took pages from magazines & newspapers to be signed. We are NOT offering COA’s on these items because we are not autograph dealers. Nor do we belong to any organizations such as the UACC. However, we have seen enough photographic proof that we believe all the signatures are authentic; so we leave it to you.
