The cross is neatly engraved 898482 Pte B McFADDEN and in its box exactly as it was found. I had a look on the CWGC site but couldn’t find references to this soldier. ? The riband is a bit creased with age but is undamaged and is in a continuous loop. It is marked STERLING at the bottom and there is some kind of logo next to it? I guess that this it’s original case? – not had one of these crosses before so not sure. It opens and closes fine. Looks barely worn, nicely toned.
