King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902; Army L. Khedive’s Star, undated, the third and fourth medals name erased. Stephen William Barfoot was born at Crichel, Wimborne, in May 1859. A cab driver by trade, he enlisted into the Army Hospital Corps at Aldershot on 27 May 1884, later transferring to the Medical Staff Corps.
