British WW1 – Death Plaque + Medal Pair + School Medals – Pte F. Jones – Royal West Kent Regiment – Killed in Action. On offer is a poignant collection of items relating to Frederick Charles Maurice Jones. The memorial (death) plaque is uniquely named and accompanies his medal pair (full entitlement) named to G-20296 F. Also included are three silver school medals, understood to have been awarded to Jones between 1906 and 1909. Frederick Jones was born on 28 November in Durham, Northumberland, to Georgina and William Jones. After leaving school he became a fitter. He enlisted in October 1916, in the Army Service Corps and was transferred to 7th Bn Royal West Kent Regiment.
