The badge is in fantastic original condition as shown. We’ve never seen another and can’t find another example online. We recently acquired a pair of these post war European Command medals and this one’s named to a “Lieutenant Colonel” of the U. Army 16th infantry Regiment. This particular medal was presented for the “Slowd Fire Match”. The medal appears to be Sterling Silver, but is absent of hallmarks and makers marks, which is not unusual being these were made in theater. I believe this 1948 European Command EIC match was a one off, meaning there a likely very few of these medals in existence.
